Our vision

‘Revealing God’s love in Bramley’

People have been meeting to worship at St Peter’s, Bramley, and love and serve the community since the 1860’s. In 2022, we entered a new season of the life and work of the church as we were joined by a team from St George’s Church in Leeds.

Our priorities

As we seek to release our vision, we hold these four priorities:

Worshipping God: We invite God’s presence through prayer and worship, so his love and transforming power moves in our church and communities.

Being Church Family: God destined us for adoption as his children through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:5.

Engaging with community: We seek to bring hope to Bramley, partnering with local communities, to meet spiritual and social needs and to see God’s Kingdom come.

Investing in families and young people: Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Our beliefs

We believe and trust in one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit.

  • We believe God has revealed himself through the Bible.

  • We believe God has revealed himself most clearly through the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ.

  • We believe God makes himself known personally to each believer through the work of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe being a Christian means responding to Jesus' invitation to enjoy a relationship with God here on earth and for eternity.

We hope you will visit us soon and feel welcomed, accepted and find a place to belong.

St Peter’s Church is in the Parish of Bramley and is part of the Diocese of Leeds, and the worldwide Anglican church.
